Antonio Senzatela Threw A Side Session On Sunday
4 years agoColorado Rockies starting pitcher Antonio Senzatela, who suffered a right hamstring strain on March 1, threw a "light side" session on Sunday, according to beat writer Thomas Harding. The hamstring issue has set the right-hander back as he's yet to make an official appearance in a Cactus League game this spring. It sounds like he's progressing and could make his debut sooner than later. The 26-year-old Senzatela was a bright spot in the Rockies' rotation last season when he compiled a 5-3 record, 3.44 ERA, 1.214 WHIP, and 41:18 K/BB ratio over 73 1/3 innings (12 starts). However, the underlying numbers don't really back up his rate stats as he had a 4.57 FIP and a 13.5% K rate, which was in the bottom four percent in all of baseball. He's more of an NL-only option in fantasy leagues this year.
