4 years agoHouston Astros right-handed pitcher Pedro Baez has been placed on the COVID-19 injured list following a positive test for the virus Tuesday. Baez was a major addition to the Houston bullpen this off-season, likely setting him up to be the setup man ahead of Ryan Pressly. Baez was remarkably consistent during a seven-year tenure with the Dodgers, amassing a 3.03 career ERA in which he never posted higher than a 3.35 mark. Having delivered between a 132-140 ERA+ in six of his first seven seasons, Baez is as steady of a relief corps option as they come in deep season-long leagues. Houston did not provide any immediate updates to Baez's condition, which leaves him in limbo as to when he could return to the mound. Check back as further news becomes available.--Jesse Borek
