Bobby Bradley Slugs Two Doubles
4 years agoCleveland Indians first base prospect Bobby Bradley went 2-for-3 with two doubles on Tuesday against the Texas Rangers. He's now 4-for-13 (.308) this spring and all four of his hits have gone for extra bases with two doubles and two home runs. He's also driven in eight runs. The rookie first baseman appeared in 15 MLB games in 2019 but spent the entire 2020 season at the alternate training site. Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports that Bradley lost 35 pounds during the offseason and is in much-improved shape for 2021. He's battling Jake Bauers for the first-base job. Bradley has massive power and slugged 33 home runs in triple-A in 2019 but he struggles to make consistent contact.
