4 years agoSan Diego Padres infielder/outfielder Jurickson Profar (groin) is dealing with groin tightness but should return Thursday. The utilityman has missed three games but had amassed a hit and three walks in 10 spring plate appearances. The 28-year-old flourished in his first season in San Diego, posting a .278/.343/.428 slash with seven homers and steals apiece and 53 runs-plus-RBI across 202 plate appearances. Playing mostly left field for an injured Tommy Pham in 2020, Profar's role is less clear heading into 2021 with a healthy Pham and infielders Jake Cronenworth and Ha-Seong Kim vying for opportunities at second base. Profar provides solid depth and is a sparkplug for the Friars, but he's not a legitimate fantasy option aside from leagues drafting past the top 250 players.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
