4 years agoColorado Avalanche center Nathan MacKinnon will return to action in Wednesday's meeting with Arizona. He missed three games with an upper-body injury and the Avalanche was forced to use Mikko Rantanen as a center, so MacKinnon will make a welcome return. The star centerman enters the contest on a four-game point streak and he has five goals and 22 points for the year in 19 outings. His return bumps Valeri Nichushkin on the third line, but the Russian winger isn't an automatic drop, as he scored in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Coyotes and has three goals and four points in his last three appearances.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
