Roenis Elias Exits Game With Injury
4 years agoSeattle Mariners relief pitcher Roenis Elias (elbow) left the Mariners spring game on Thursday with an apparent injury. Elias reportedly felt discomfort in his elbow while facing the first Dodgers batter of his outing. Elias seemed to have an inside track on a role in the Mariners bullpen after his hot start to spring, with four strikeouts and no runs allowed across 2 1/3 innings. He will be examined further Friday, according to manager Scott Servais. The setback seems to take him out of the running for any fantasy relevance to start the year.
