4 years agoDetroit Tigers pitcher Tarik Skubal struck out four Toronto Blue Jays over three innings of work on Thursday during a 10-6 loss. The rookie pitcher was the only hurler to keep the Blue Jays hitters off the score sheet. Skubal has pitched five scoreless innings this spring with just two hits allowed and a K-BB of 6-0. The lefty made his MLB debut in 2020 and struck out 37 batters in 32 innings. However, he also struggled with his command and allowed nine home runs. If his strong spring continues, Skubal will likely open the 2021 season in the Tigers' starting rotation.
