4 years agoPittsburgh Pirates relief pitcher Blake Cederlind (elbow) was placed on the 60-day injured list with a UCL strain in his right elbow, according to MLB.com's Jake Crouse. Crouse reports that Cederlind sustained the injury in Wednesday night's game when he was pulled after allowing a run on one hit, two walks and a hit batter while recording only two outs. According to Crouse, the Pirates and Cederlind are considering their options now on how to proceed with this injury. Cederlind is one of the better relief prospects in the Pirates system, and he made his major league debut in 2020, when he allowed two runs on three hits and one walk while striking out four in four innings. He looked like he could have been a solid addition in saves/holds formats this year, but it looks like any value he might have had will exist only in deep dynasty formats this year.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
