Chris Archer Ready To Start Season With Solid Workload
4 years agoTampa Bay Rays right-handed pitcher Chris Archer hasn't pitched in a big league game since Aug. 20, 2019, having worked his way back from the dreaded thoracic outlet syndrome. Archer has come along during the spring and he anticipates being able to throw 4-5 innings in his first start of the year, enough for aggressive fantasy managers to potentially roll the dice on him as a season-long Draft selection. Despite his elevated ERA over his last full year of pitching, he has remained a strong source of strikeouts, and Tampa Bay coaches have been impressed with Archer's arsenal during camp. He could be a solid source of DFS appeal in his first start of 2021, provided the opponent is a favorable matchup.
