Nick Margevicius Throws Three Uneven Innings
4 years agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher Nick Margevicius threw three innings as the starter in Friday's game against the Cincinnati Reds. He allowed two runs on five hits and no walks while striking out three. The outing seemed to be getting off to a strong start, as Margevicius set down the Reds in order in the first inning, but he wavered over his final two frames. Command of his secondary pitches was the emphasis for this appearance, according to Margevicius, so the three strikeouts to zero walks may be the most important result of the outing. Margevicius is currently in a battle for the sixth slot in the starting rotation and is a fantasy streamer in much deeper leagues, at best.
