Wil Myers Dealing With Right Knee Inflammation
4 years agoSan Diego Padres outfielder Wil Myers is dealing with some right knee soreness, which kept him out of Saturday's Cactus League game vs. the Arizona Diamondbacks. Beat writer Jeff Sanders noted that Myers went through practice fine on Saturday but that it was cold outside and his knee tightened up on him, which forced him to miss the game. He should be fine moving forward but can be considered day-to-day for now. The 30-year-old Myers is having a phenomenal Cactus League so far as he's slashing .389/.421/.889 with three homers. He should be in no danger of missing Opening Day and he's a fine mid-round outfield option in standard fantasy leagues. He'll get plenty of RBI opportunities batting in the loaded San Diego lineup and can steal you some bases as well.
