4 years agoSan Diego Padres pitching prospect Adrian Morejon struck out five batters over three innings of work against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday. The only run against him came on a solo home run by Ketel Marte to lead off the game. Morejon has 10 strikeouts and six walks with just two runs allowed through seven innings of work this spring. He made nine appearances in the majors in 2020 and struggled with his command which led to seven home runs allowed in 19.1 innings. Although he's pitched exclusively as a starter in the minors, the southpaw could provide innings at the MLB level as either a starter or a reliever -- depending on the health of other pitchers, including Dinelson Lamet.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
