4 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw will take the mound for his team on Opening Day against the Rockies. Kershaw will be making his ninth career start on Opening Day, which is the most in Dodgers' franchise history. The veteran left-hander pitched to a 2.16 ERA in 58 1/3 innings last year while posting a dazzling 62-8 strikeout-to-walk ratio. Kershaw's .231 BABIP and 3.31 FIP suggest he got a bit lucky last season, though he's still a high-floor starter capable of delivering an ERA in the low-3s with a fair amount of strikeouts, an excellent WHIP, and double-digit wins for the Dodgers in 2021.--Tim Capurso
