4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Zack Wheeler threw five shutout innings with four strikeouts in a Grapefruit League contest against the Tigers. Wheeler allowed four hits and didn't walk a batter as he lowered his Spring Training ERA to 4.05 across four starts. The 30-year-old righty had a solid first season in Philadelphia pitching to a 2.92 ERA with a 3.22 FIP in 11 starts. A 22.4 percent career strikeout rate limits Wheeler's upside for fantasy, but he should provide sturdy ratios while pitching a healthy innings total.
