4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies right-handed pitcher Zach Eflin (back) has been officially tagged day-to-day by manager Joe Girardi after having his back ailment flare up again during a bullpen session. Girardi admitted that he was "a little" concerned by the recurrence of the injury, which is threatening to stunt Eflin's open to 2021. In the two Grapefruit League outings that he has appeared, Eflin has amassed seven strikeouts over six scoreless innings. Eflin has soared up Draft boards to become the 59th-ranked pitcher off the board currently, with many managers buying into his career-best 28.6% K rate from 2020.
