Roman Quinn Making His Case For Center Field Job
4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Roman Quinn has had a productive spring as he makes his case in the team's four-way battle for a starting role. Quinn is competing with Scott Kingery, Odubel Herrera, and Mickey Moniak for the vacancy in center field for the Phillies. Quinn is slashing .318/400/.409 through 25 plate appearances with one stolen base. The 27-year-old isn't likely to win the job outright as his 100th percentile sprint speed has been a weapon off the bench for manager Joe Girardi. That speed is what can make Quinn an interesting deep-league target in fantasy, however, as he can put up a healthy steals total if he can find enough at-bats in a crowded Philly outfield. Target Quinn as bench depth in 15-team leagues and larger.
