4 years agoMilwaukee Brewers right-handed pitcher Devin Williams (shoulder) has yet to appear in a Cactus League outing this spring, but that is on track to change Saturday. Williams is part of the group scheduled to pitch versus Cincinnati, aiming to get ready in time to open the season as a member of Milwaukee's relief corps. The reigning National League Rookie of the Year was virtually untouchable in 2020, allowing one earned run over 27 innings while amassing 53 strikeouts. Josh Hader is entrenched as the Brewers closer, but Williams' propensity for missing bats makes him a season-long candidate in any sized season-long format, particularly those that count holds and WHIP.--Jesse Borek
