4 years agoWashington Capitals goaltender Ilya Samsonov will guard the crease in Saturday's rematch with the Rangers. Vitek Vanecek produced a solid 32-save performance in Friday's 2-1 win over the Rangers and now it's Samsonov's turn to extend the team's winning streak. Washington was won seven in a row since losing to Boston on Mar. 5. Samsonov is on a personal four-game winning streak and owns a 6-0-1 record for the season with a 2.54 goals-against average and a .907 save percentage.
