Chase Anderson Rocked In Spring Start Versus Tigers
4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Chase Anderson allowed four runs in 3 2/3 innings in a Grapefruit League start against Detroit. Anderson struck out five, but that's where the positives end for a starter competing for a rotation slot in Philly. The 33-year-old righty was plagued by the long ball in this one serving up two separate two-run homers which is an extension of last year when Anderson pitched to a 7.22 ERA with Toronto. Anderson had a hard time keeping the ball in the yard in 2020 allowing an absurd 2.94 HR/9. Anderson seems ticketed for the bullpen to start the season but won't make much of an impact in fantasy even if he does find himself starting games for the Phillies.
