4 years agoMinnesota Twins relief pitcher Taylor Rogers pitched a scoreless inning against the Braves on Monday, allowing no hits or walks while striking out two batters. Rogers had the slider and sinker working against Atlanta, as he exclusively threw those two pitches, getting a strikeout with each offering. The veteran closer had a 30-save season in his most recent full year in 2019, though he will be hard-pressed to reach that number again with fellow late-innings relievers Alex Colome and Hansel Robles in town in 2021. Rogers is still a dependable reliever- though he profiles as more of an RP2 at his 189 ADP in the Twins' bullpen committee.--Tim Capurso
