4 years agoToronto Blue Jays pitching prospect Nate Pearson, who's been dealing with a Grade 1 groin strain since early March, is already throwing and is slated to have a bullpen session "within days," according to general manager Ross Atkins. Atkins noted that the team will be cautious as they don't want Pearson to aggravate the injury but added that he's "recovering exceptionally well." This is good news considering that just last week Pearson actually did re-aggravate his groin during a bullpen session. Even with the recent progress he's made, the 24-year-old flamethrower should open the year on the injured list. He's still a must draft in dynasty formats and makes for an intriguing IL stash in re-draft leagues due to his prospect pedigree.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
