ANALYSIS: Jae Crowder joined the Suns this past offseason and he's alternated the starting and reserve role all year long. He went on an 11-game streak of starting to kick the year off, then started only 8 of the next 23 games, but he's now back in the starting unit and has already logged six straight from Mar. 15 to Mar. 24, the last game he played before the deadline.
Crowder's usage in this squad is never going to be huge, no matter the role he plays. Not that he needs it to put up numbers, though. Independently of the unit he's part of, Crowder is still averaging 25+ MPG a day, and he's at an even better 30 as a starter. If only because of the many minutes he gets daily, the counting stats will always be racked up without much effort. Crowder is adept at hitting long-range shots, having at least one trey in all but six games this season (41 GP), and has hit 3+ in five of his last six through Thursday.
Although he only launches around 9 FGA a night, he still has great true shooting percentages thanks to his three-point-scoring prowess, and he also comes with upside on the boards. Won't hand you a lot in terms of dimes/steals/blocks, but he's always hitting his 10+ points and 3+ treys. On a pure fantasy perspective, he's a lock to get some 25 FP daily and although he's not very efficient (0.85 FP/min) he still plays a lot of minutes to make up for it on a counting-stats basis.
