Fernando Tatis Jr.'s Shoulder Issue Considered Minor
4 years agoSan Diego Padres shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. (shoulder) is back in the lineup as the designated hitter Thursday against the Texas Rangers. Tatis aggravated a lingering issue to his left shoulder Tuesday after a defensive play and was forced to exit the game. His return to the scorecard is a great sign, but the Friars will likely be cautious with their star player with Opening Day a week away. Tatis has posted a 1.092 OPS with two long balls in 10 spring contests, and fantasy managers can feel confident in his position as a top-three pick. The dynamic 22-year-old has registered a 150 wRC+ in 629 career big league plate appearances with 39 homers and 27 steals. He has the potential to be a five-category monster this season.
