German Marquez Will Start Opening Day vs. Dodgers
4 years agoColorado Rockies starting pitcher German Marquez will be the team's Opening Day starter vs. the Dodgers at Coors Field. Antonio Senzatela, Jon Gray, and Austin Gomber will follow Marquez in the four-game set against Los Angeles. The 26-year-old RHP has been the Rockies' best pitcher over the last few seasons but scuffled a bit this spring. He put up a 5.68 ERA, 1.84 WHIP, and 15:8 K/BB ratio over 19 innings in Cactus League play. He did put up a stellar 3.75 ERA and 1.26 WHIP in 2020 and is the most reliable Colorado starter from a fantasy perspective. You'll have to take the good with the bad with Marquez, though, as it's never easy making half of your starts at Coors Field.
