Jordan Luplow Will Start In CF Opening Day
4 years agoCleveland Indians outfielder Jordan Luplow will start in center field on Opening Day vs. the Detroit Tigers. The Tribe are facing a LHP in Matthew Boyd so that likely factored into the decision. Luplow has a career .275/.379/.603 batting line with 18 home runs over 229 at-bats against left-handed pitching. The 27-year-old had a brutal Cactus League, going hitless over 16 at-bats with seven strikeouts. He got off to a slow start in camp as he was recovering from an ankle injury but the team must think he's good to go if he's starting in center field. He'll be an intriguing DFS play throughout the season whenever he faces a lefty but he's not someone that should be in your starting lineup in a standard mixed league.
