4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies second baseman Jean Segura went 2-for-5 with an RBI and a stolen base in a win over the Braves on Opening Day. Segura will make headlines for delivering a walk-off hit, but fantasy managers should be more excited about the stolen base. Segura was once among the most prolific base stealers in the league, racking up at least 20 thefts every season from 2013-18. He's stopped running since joining the Phillies in 2019 and his fantasy value plummeted. Segura isn't a great hitter - his OPS has been under .800 in four straight seasons - but if he's running he has value in category-based fantasy leagues.
