4 years agoCincinnati Reds shortstop Eugenio Suarez went 1-for-3 with a solo homer and two walks in an 11-6 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals on Opening Day. It wasn't all positive, however, as Suarez committed two errors in the game. He was making his first start at shortstop since the 2018 season and, needless to say, things did not go as planned for the veteran. The Reds reshuffled the majority of their infield this spring, based on the assumption that Suarez could hold his own at shortstop. The team will not abort the experiment just yet but Suarez will need to play better in the field to stick at shortstop.--Matt T - RotoBaller
