4 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Max Kepler put his rough spring behind him immediately with a three-hit performance on Opening Day in a 6-5 loss to Milwaukee. Kepler grounded out in his first at-bat but couldn't be kept off the bases after that, as he nearly hit for the cycle with an RBI single, a triple, and a double in three of his four remaining trips to the plate. While he batted fifth in the first game of the season, Kepler can be expected to see at-bats from his usual leadoff slot, albeit in tandem with Luis Arraez. With remaining matchups on Saturday and Sunday against right-handed pitchers, Kepler should have a good chance of building on his Opening Day success, given his career .803 OPS against right-handed pitching.--Tim Capurso
