Lucas Giolito Looks Sharp In Season Debut
4 years agoChicago White Sox starting pitcher Lucas Giolito put together a strong performance on Thursday versus the Los Angeles Angels. The righty cruised through the first 11 batters he faced, but then allowed back-to-back walks and a RBI single to Justin Upton. Giolito still put together a strong performance and allowed just two hits, two runs, two walks and struck out eighth on the evening in 5 1/3 innings. Giolito showed tonight why he can be the anchor to managers rotations this season and should continue to be treated as a SP1. Giolito will draw the Seattle Mariners on Tuesday and should be deployed every time he steps foot on the mound.
