4 years agoColorado Rockies shortstop Trevor Story went 2-for-5 with a pair of singles in Thursday's Opening Day victory over the Dodgers. Story looked good at the plate- getting to Clayton Kershaw for two of his 10 hits- and in the field, where he made a couple of nice plays- including a nifty throw on a double-play. The lone blemish on the day for the star shortstop was a baserunning mistake, as he was a picked off and caught stealing by Kershaw in the first inning. Story will play three more games against the Dodgers, then three against the Diamondbacks. He may not call Colorado home all season with trade rumors swirling, but each of the remaining games in his first two series of the 2021 season will take place in the hitter-friendly confines of Coors Field, where he owns a career .994 OPS.--Tim Capurso
