4 years agoMinnesota Twins shortstop Andrelton Simmons went 2-for-4 with a walk and a run scored in a 6-5 loss to the Brewers on Opening Day. Simmons had a good day at the plate, reaching on an infield single- and then driving a base hit into center in his second at-bat. Surprisingly, the normally sure-handed defender dropped a throw from Miguel Sano for his first error in a Twins' uniform, though there shouldn't be too many of those, given his prodigious skill at short. Simmons isn't much of a fantasy factor with his bat, though his low strikeout rate and potential for run-scoring in the Twins' lineup could give him value in deeper points leagues.--Tim Capurso
