4 years agoToronto Blue Jays pitcher Nate Pearson (groin) is throwing off the mound today while working his way back from a groin injury sustained earlier this spring. He had already made one attempted to return from the injury but re-aggravated the strain in mid-March. The right-hander made just one appearance this spring back on March 1 so he'll need time to build up his stamina to handle a starter's workload. Pearson has frontline starter's stuff but has dealt with a litany of injuries in recent years. He appeared in just five games with the Jays in 2020 and his season ended early due to elbow tightness. Pearson is ranked by Rotoballer as the top pitching prospect in baseball.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
