Dom Nunez Blasts A Solo Home Run Vs. The Dodgers
4 years agoColorado Rockies catcher Dom Nunez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 11-6 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Rockies were getting no hit by Trevor Bauer until the seventh inning when they exploded for six runs, which all came via the long ball. Nunez took LHP David Price deep with a towering fly ball over the right field wall for his only hit of the night. Elias Diaz started on Opening Day while Nunez started behind the plate on Friday. Diaz should see the majority of work at catcher this year as he possesses more experience than the 26-year-old Nunez, who has struggled over his limited opportunities at the major league level.
