4 years agoArizona Diamondbacks shortstop Nick Ahmed (knee) seems headed towards an injured list stint as he continues to deal with patellar tendonitis in his right knee. Ahmed hasn't played in a game since March 24- and the recent call-up of highly regarded prospect Geraldo Perdomo seems to point towards an absence for the former. It doesn't seem like a long-term development, but Perdomo, who owns a career .278 batting average with 66 career stolen bases in the minors, will get a chance to show what he can do at the big-league level.--Tim Capurso
