Eduardo Rodriguez Throws Simulated Game Friday
4 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez (arm) threw a four-inning simulated game on Friday. Rodriguez said he felt fine physically coming out of the outing, though his velocity was down below his usual levels. It's worth noting that while the 27-year-old is dealing with a "dead arm"- the temperatures on Friday were very cool- which has resulted in a dip in velocity amongst multiple starters across the majors this year. That said, Rodriguez could still be placed on the injured list, as the team wants to see how he feels on Sunday before making a decision.
