4 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder/first baseman Brent Rooker was recalled from the team's alternate site on Saturday in a corresponding move with teammate Josh Donaldson (hamstring) heading to the Injured list. Rooker's call-up indicates that Miguel Sano will likely make some starts at third in Donaldson's absence, with Rooker playing first- though the latter could also shift to the outfield, allowing utility Luis Arraez to man the hot corner. It seems to be a temporary development, but still a chance for Rooker to prove that he belongs with the big club. He's one to monitor for as long as Donaldson is out.--Tim Capurso
