4 years agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Jake Arrieta didn't miss a beat to start his second stint with the club. Arrieta threw six strong innings on Saturday afternoon and allowed six hits, one run, one walk and struck out five on the afternoon versus the Pittsburgh Pirates. The former All-Star struggled throughout his time in Philadelphia the past three seasons, but has worked hard to change his style of pitching with the loss of velocity over the past few seasons. Arrieta is worth keeping an eye on in deeper formats, but there is likely a player with more potential that is worthy of a roster spot for now. The right-hander will look to keep it going versus the same Pirates lineup on Thursday and makes for an attractive streaming option.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
