Corbin Burnes Loses No-Hitter In Seventh Inning
4 years agoMilwaukee Brewers pitcher Corbin Burnes lost a no-hitter in the seventh inning during a 0-0 game with the Minnesota Twins on Saturday night. Amazingly, opposing pitcher Jose Berrios was also working on a no-hitter at the same time. Burnes' no-hitter was broken up by Twins outfielder Byron Buxton, who hit a solo home run. The talented hurler left the game after 6.1 innings of one-hit ball. He had an impressive K-BB of 11-0 and threw 59 of his 87 pitches for strikes. Last season, Burnes had a 2.11 ERA through 12 games (nine starts) and produced a K-BB of 88-24 in 59.2 innings of work.
