4 years agoAtlanta Braves starting pitcher Charlie Morton had a solid outing in Saturday's 4-0 loss to the Phillies. Morton pitched five innings, allowing six hits, three runs, and a pair of walks while striking out five batters. The veteran right-hander was charged with the loss, though he didn't exactly get a ton of help from the Braves' quiet bats. Morton had good juice on his heater, averaging 94.8 MPH- touching 96 at one point- and generated 12 swings-and-misses, including six on his fastball. Morton will get a chance for redemption in his next start against the Phillies, lined up for April 9.--Tim Capurso
