4 years agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher Chris Flexen was not given too many pitches to work with against the San Francisco Giants on Saturday, but he made the most of them. Flexen threw five innings of scoreless ball, allowing four hits and two walks while striking out six. The 26-year-old walked more batters than he struck out in his last major league stint with the Mets in 2019, so this outing is a good sign that Flexen is more the pitcher who posted 10.2 strikeouts per nine innings versus only 2.3 walks per nine innings in Korea last year. He's worth keeping an eye on.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
