4 years agoPittsburgh Pirates relief pitcher Kyle Crick returned to the team on Sunday, according to Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Crick had been away from the team for the birth of his child, and had to complete the COVID-19 intake procedures before he could return. He figures to be one of the Pirates' top late-inning relievers, coming off a Spring Training performance in which he posted a 1.35 ERA with 10 strikeouts in 6 2/3 innings of work. In a corresponding move, the Pirates have optioned reliever Will Crowe to the team's alternate site. Managers in SV/HLD formats should consider targeting Crick, who could be among the first in line for save opportunities if anything happens to current closer Richard Rodriguez.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
