4 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton (illness) was removed from Sunday's game due to a non-COVID-related illness. Given Buxton's lengthy injury history, fantasy managers probably held their breath when they heard that he had to be removed from the game. Fortunately, the 27-year-old didn't sustain an injury. Buxton produced three extra-base hits- including two home runs- and a pair of walks along with a stolen base in the opening series of the season against Milwaukee. Up next is a series against the Tigers, starting on Monday. It's not yet clear if the illness will force Buxton to miss a game.--Tim Capurso
