Nate Lowe Slugs Three-Run Homer
4 years agoTexas Rangers first baseman Nate Lowe smashed a three-run home run in the sixth inning against Kansas City Royals starter Brady Singer to help the club to a 7-3 win on Sunday. The former Rays prospect is now 5-for-14 (.357) with two extra-base hits on the season. The start by Lowe is encouraging but he also has at least one strikeout in each of the three games he's played in and he has yet to take a walk. Lowe hit just .205 in 18 games this spring. Last season with the Rays, he produced a 102 wRC+ in 21 games but also struck out at a rate of 37%. He was acquired by Texas in the offseason for a collection of minor league players.
