Isiah Kiner-Falefa Has Three Hits, Homers
4 years agoTexas Rangers shortstop Isiah Kiner-Falefa banged out three hits and slugged his first home run of the season during a 7-3 victory over the Kansas City Royals on Sunday. He also drove in three runs. The former catcher and third baseman is now 4-for-13 (.308) with two extra-base hits to start the season. The early power display has been a nice surprise from a player that saw just 10 of his 59 hits go for extra bases in 2020. Kiner-Falefa has also been hitting at the top of the order right in front of the hot-hitting group of David Dahl, Joey Gallo, and Nate Lowe. He has intriguing fantasy value because he's catcher-eligible in most leagues but playing every day at shortstop.
