Chris Paddack Takes Loss In First Start
4 years agoSan Diego Padres starter Chris Paddack took the loss in his first start of 2021, surrendering three runs (two earned) across four innings against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Paddack struggled with command, locating just 54 of 89 pitches for strikes. The 25-year-old yielded four hits and three walks while striking out three. After a rocky spring, the start was another discouraging sign for Paddack, who the Friars desperately need to bounce back after struggling last year. Drafted as an SP4 this offseason, fantasy managers should give him another shot next weekend in Arlington against the Texas Rangers.
