Lourdes Gurriel Jr. Not In Lineup
4 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder Lourdes Gurriel Jr. is not in Monday's lineup against the Texas Rangers. He also left Sunday's victory against the New York Yankees early. He was replaced defensively in the ninth inning after grounding out in the eighth. No reason has been given for his absence. The Jays will lineup with Teoscar Hernandez in left field, Jonathan Davis in center, and Randal Grichuk in right. Davis is making his first start of the season after previously appearing in two games — once as a pinch-runner and once as a defensive replacement. Gurriel is hitting 3-for-12 with no extra-base hits so far this season. He's also grounded into two double plays.
