4 years agoArizona Diamondbacks relief pitcher Joakim Soria (calf) has been placed on the 10-day Injured List with a calf strain. Soria had left for Phoenix to be evaluated on Monday after tweaking something during Monday's game- and it turns out the team will be without his services for the near future. Soria was expected to be the closer for Arizona, though the role could end up going to Stefan Crichton in the meantime. In a corresponding move, the Diamondbacks have called up right-hander Matt Peacock.--Tim Capurso
