4 years agoTexas Rangers infielder Ronald Guzman is getting a start at first base on Tuesday with Nate Lowe shifting to the designated hitter slot. The club is facing the Toronto Blue Jays and veteran right-handed starter Tanner Roark. Guzman, who bats from the left side, is hitless with two strikeouts through five at-bats this season, while Lowe has justified his starting role by producing six hits, including a homer, in his first 18 at-bats. Guzman, 26, is coming off a 2020 season that saw him produce a modest 104 wRC+ in just 26 games. He has a 101 wRC+ versus right-handed pitching compared to just 39 wRC+ against southpaws.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
