4 years agoToronto Blue Jays injured outfielder George Springer (oblique) is eligible to come off the injured list on Thursday. In preparation for that possible outcome, he faced live pitching today and went 4-for-11 with three walks and two strikeouts while facing A.J. Cole, Joel Payamps, and Travis Bergen. Springer was injured late in spring training and hasn't played in a game since March 21. He was 6-for-25 (.240) with one homer and two steals in the spring. Last season, he produced a 146 wRC+ so his addition to the Jays lineup will give it some additional skill. He'll likely supplant Marcus Semien — who has two home runs in four games — in the leadoff slot.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
