James Paxton Set For First Start
4 years agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher James Paxton is slated to make his first start of the season Tuesday against the Chicago White Sox. Paxton was originally set to face the San Francisco Giants in the second game of the year, but was swapped with fellow lefty Yusei Kikuchi to give Paxton some extra rest. After only throwing 17 1/3 innings in spring training, Paxton will face a tough test with the heavily right-handed White Sox lineup. First baseman Jose Abreu has had significant success off Paxton, batting .556 with a home run. If fantasy managers have other options, this might be a matchup to avoid.
